Huasca de Ocampo, Hidalgo – Mexico's 132 "Pueblos Mágicos," or magical towns, offer a glimpse into the nation's rich history and vibrant culture, showcased through stunning architecture, unique customs, colorful traditions, and breathtaking natural landscapes. These designations aim to preserve the multicultural identity of the regions, with Huasca de Ocampo earning the distinction of being the first town in Mexico to receive this recognition back in 2001.

“The magical towns of Mexico are the window to a historical past rich in traditions and culture that is shown in the splendor of its architecture, customs, costumes, language, as well as in its natural beauty,” explains Marco Mendoza Bustamante, a PRI deputy in the Congress of Hidalgo.
