The celebrations for the Day of the Dead in Mazatlan will run from October 27th to November 2nd, providing locals and tourists with a wider range of artistic and cultural options.
From October 27th to November 2nd, Mazatlan will host a variety of Day of the Dead celebrations, providing locals and tourists with more opportunities to learn about and participate in the holiday's rich cultural traditions and artistic expressions.
A great festivity full of color, celebration, and culture will take place in Mazatlan from October 27th to November 2nd. The week to celebrate the Day of the Dead will be held at different locations in the Historic Center, starting with Casa Haas, the Angela Peralta Theater, and Paseo Olas Altas.
The celebration begins on October 27, with daily tours until November 2, at Casa Haas. The tours will start at 8:00 p.m. and every half hour until 10:30 p.m. Tales, legends, and stories of Mexico will be told in the place, making the walk more attractive for those who come to the site during these days, and to enter they must pay a recovery fee of 50 pesos.
On October 27 there will be an exhibition of skulls at 8:00 p.m. in Liverpool alley, where there will be live music. The idea of opening several fronts is derived from the need that Mazatlan is asking for every day, from tourists and locals, previously it was only held on one day, with limited capacity.
On November 2nd, the traditional tour will take place at the Angela Peralta Theater, which will have a limited capacity of 650 to 700 people, for different 30-minute performances. The parade will be held on November 2nd, starting at the Ciudades Hermanas Park, from 8:00 p.m. to Plazuela Machado between Miguel Alemán and Carnaval.
The Callejoneada was complicated by the fact that people gathered too much, it was saturated and the activities that were presented could not be appreciated. Tickets to attend the tour inside the Angela Peralta Theater, which will take place on November 2nd, will be distributed on October 25th at 10:00 a.m. and two tickets will be given per person.
Emma Morin, an Italian who has lived in Mazatlan for many years, joins this great celebration and will be directing a presentation called "Cita Ciega con la Muerte", which will be presented at the Plazuela Machado esplanade on October 29 and 30 at 8:00 pm. A mega altar of the dead and a mega catrina will be installed in the Plazuela Machado to give the population a great Day of the Dead festivity.
