A specialized unit with biologists arrived at the scene and performed the pertinent maneuvers to immobilize the saurian, first tying its snout and then its entire body.
The crocodile was then analyzed to ensure that it was in good health, and was then transferred back to a safe habitat in the area, where it could not be disturbed.
This crocodile, one of the largest in the bay, probably came from the mouth of the Ameca River or the Boca de Tomates estuary, where the largest crocodiles in the bay subsist.
