The Navy informed that according to intelligence work, they have identified the intellectual authors who ordered the kidnapping. They are Laisha Michelle Oseguera González, daughter of Rosalinda and El Mencho; as well as Laisha's boyfriend, Christian Fernando Gutiérrez Ochoa, who was in the area of the shopping mall where the two Marines were taken.
He is said to be the one who gave the direct order to hitmen of the Jalisco Cartel - New Generation to subdue the second master and the Marine corporal in their vehicle. This allegedly occurred minutes after the arrest of Rosalinda Gonzalez, as an immediate retaliation to the operation by the Army and agents of the Attorney General's Office, right there in Zapopan.
The state police located the white jeep with Jalisco plates, in which the two kidnapped Marines were traveling. This jeep was abandoned 20 minutes from the shopping center, on a street in the El Campanario neighborhood in Zapopan.
The Mexican Navy reported that on Monday, November 15, unidentified personnel "(presumed to belong to a cartel), kidnapped two of our members, holding them hostage until this moment".
