El Cabo 20 is presumed to be the main generator of violence in Baja California and is linked to the homicide of photojournalist Margarito Martínez Esquivel, which occurred on January 17, 2022, in Tijuana.
'El Cabo 20′ operates with two cells, one in Tijuana and another in Ensenada. These are dedicated to drug dealing and according to Zeta Tijuana, 'El Cabo' runs a public campaign against the Jalisco Cartel - New Generation. For this reason, 'Los Cabos' distribute dismembered bodies with narco-banners and blame it on the CJNG; they do it through web pages and social networks.
