Mariachi International Fair in Puerto Vallarta
Puerto Vallarta will host the Mariachi International Fair, which will be held in this tourist destination on the 22, 23, and 24 April.
The city of Puerto Vallarta will pay homage to one of the most important and representative traditional genres of Mexican culture: the mariachi. That is why it will host the Mariachi International Fair Puerto Vallarta 2019, which will be held in this tourist destination on 22, 23, and 24 April.
The director of the International Fair of the Mariachi, Héctor Turrubiates, informed that musical presentations, workshops, contests, conferences, and training have been prepared for mariachi groups and the public interested in this musical genre considered the most Mexican, which was also included as Heritage Cultural Intangible of Humanity.
There will be private and public galas so that all visitors and locals can enjoy a first-level show since the main objective of the event is to achieve a wide exposure of mariachi music as a pillar of Mexican identity.
"We chose Vallarta because there are many national and international tourists and many members of the mariachi music guild."
There will be an opportunity for musicians who wish to become professionals, they will be able to participate in the Mariachi International Music Congress, with the best mariachis and 15 of the best masters of this genre.
There will be Mexican folkloric dance, lectures on social networks, sales, and musical production, and everything that has to do with the music industry to support the spread of mariachi.
"We want the musicians to learn with the best teachers, but also to learn new tools so that they can spread the music of Mariachi with a more commercial promotion".
Four galas
After the Congress, there will be four mariachi galas: one at the International Convention Center on April 24, where awards will be given to the best Mariachi musicians.
"On that red carpet for all mariachi musicians, we will have a concert, a show with the Mariachi Corona and the Mariachi Estrella de México, it is the closing of the Congress in a great show".
On the 25th there will be a free concert on the boardwalk of Puerto Vallarta with folkloric ballet; while on the 26th and 27th of April, there are two shows at the Vallarta Theater, called "I am from Jalisco", in which eight of the best mariachis in the country will participate.
In these activities the mariachis Toritos, San Francisco, Corona, Guadalajara, Estrella de México, Real de Oro and Jalisco are Mexico.
"They are private and public concerts, the free ones on the Malecón are on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, there are three activities to enjoy."
In all the events, 20 mariachi bands will participate, 13 of them come to take classes, that is, they will be 150 students, the others are elite mariachis for private shows.
The Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust congratulates this initiative, considering that this is a great international showcase of Mexican folklore, and during the Easter Week holidays, national and international tourists will be able to enjoy the best of Mexican music par excellence.
