Mexican Chicken Chain Under Siege as Bomb Attacks Erupt
Cluck cluck BOOM! Nuevo León's El Pollo Loco restaurants are getting a little too crispy for comfort.

Looks like someone's got a serious bone to pick with El Pollo Loco down in Nuevo León, Mexico. The beloved chicken chain is facing a full-blown poultry problem as masked thugs have been launching a series of fiery attacks on their restaurants. Forget finger-lickin' good, this is straight-up scary!

Five locations of the popular grilled chicken joint have been targeted in recent weeks, with the latest incidents hitting Monterrey and Santa Catarina just yesterday, according to a local report.

The first attack went down at a Monterrey location on the corner of Luis Donaldo Colosio and Orto streets. Eyewitnesses say hooded hombres stormed the eatery and tossed a Molotov cocktail, leaving a security guard, described as being around 50 years old, nursing some nasty burns. The victim told authorities the black-clad suspects chucked the explosive through the service window before making a hasty getaway. Talk about a fast food exit!

Just hours later, as the night wore on, another El Pollo Loco in Santa Catarina became the target of more explosive antics. This time, unknown baddies hurled an explosive device inside the restaurant on Manuel Ordóñez Avenue. Luckily, quick-thinking employees and local civil protection crews managed to minimize the damage.

This feathered frenzy of violence started way back on March 16th, when two separate El Pollo Loco outposts in Apodaca were hit. One on Avenida Concordia and Calle E-Sexta, and another on Miguel Alemán and Milimex in the Milimex Industrial Park. Then, on March 23rd, a Guadalupe location in the SunMall shopping center went up in flames, reportedly being completely consumed before firefighters could tame the blaze. Yikes!

While the motive behind these fowl felonies remains unclear, local prosecutors are reportedly ruling out extortion as a cause. But with five locations now under attack, you gotta wonder what's cooking behind the scenes.

Authorities are promising more details soon as the investigations continue. They're also scrambling to figure out how to stop these fiery fiascos before more innocent bystanders get caught in the crossfire.

So, if you're planning a trip to Nuevo León and craving some El Pollo Loco, you might want to call ahead and make sure the coast is clear. This chicken chain is definitely having a clucking bad time!
