In a vibrant closing of the qualifying phase, the national sports shooting team member Gabriela Rodríguez Garza, came close to the final this Sunday by finishing in seventh place in the women's skeet event at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

In the qualifying round, she remained in a position to advance to the fight for medals, oscillating between fourth and sixth place; however, in the final round she played a tiebreaker against Chilean Francisca Crovetto and Slovakian Danka Bartekova.

Gabriela Rodríguez finished in seventh place with 120 points (+7+0) which left her out of fighting for the podium in her second Olympic experience, as only the six best-positioned shooters continued.

With the result, Gabriela Rodríguez, Pan American runner-up in Santiago 2023, says goodbye to the summer event and improves her 12th place obtained in Tokyo 2020.
