Mexican Skeet Shooter in Prime Position for Medal

Mexican sport shooting continues on its path to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the national team member, Gabriela Rodríguez Garza, oversees closing the activity of this sport in the women's skeet event, which started this Saturday with its qualifying phase.
Upon completing the initial day, the Pan American runner-up in Santiago 2023 occupied fourth place overall, then hit 73 of the 75 targets that were contested in the three starting rounds with partials of 24, 25 and 24.
Gabriela Rodríguez, an Olympian in Tokyo 2020, finished the round only below the German Nele Wissmer (74), the British Amber Rutter (74) and the American Austen Smith (73).
This Sunday, August 4, the Coahuila native will return to the shooting line to compete in the last two qualifying rounds and stay in the top positions, since the six best shooters will advance to the fight for the medals in Chateauroux.
