Mexico's Equestrian Aces Leap into the Paris Final

Mexico's equestrian jumping team qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics final after placing 10th overall. The team, composed of Fernández, Garza, and Hank, will compete against nine other nations for the gold medal.

The national equestrian jumping team made up of the pairs Federico Fernández Senderos (Romeo), Eugenio Garza Pérez (Contago) and Carlos Hank Guerreiro (H5 Porthos Maestro WH Z), qualified for the final at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games after placing 10th in the general classification with a 20-point run.

The first to go out for the Mexicans was Carlos Hank on H5 Porthos Maestro WH Z who got a run of four penalty points, the same happened with Federico Fernández who accumulated four, finally, Eugenio Garza closed the third round with 12 points.

After three rounds the Germans led by being the only team that did not receive any penalties on the day, followed by the Americans, silver medalists in Tokyo 2020, Great Britain, Belgium, who won bronze in the last edition of the summer event and the Netherlands were among the top five places.

France, the current champion Sweden, Ireland, Israel and Mexico completed the group of the 10 best teams that advanced to the grand final in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles on August 2.
