After a pause in activities due to weather conditions, Mexican rowers returned to action at the World Championship of the discipline in St. Catharines, Canada, where this Tuesday they advanced to the final stretch of the competition, which takes place from August 18 to 25 on the shores of Lake Ontario.

Paris 2024 Olympian Alexis López qualified for the A/B semifinal, scheduled for August 23 after overcoming the repechage round in first place with a time of 07:57.44 minutes in the men's lightweight single scull event, ahead of his opponents from Germany, Tunisia, and Japan.
