The Mexican Canoeing Federation (FMC) is poised to begin its 2025 activities with a crucial national selection event, scheduled from January 31 to February 2. Taking place at the renowned “Virgilio Uribe” Olympic Rowing and Canoeing Track in Cuemanco, Mexico City, the event will play a pivotal role in forming the national team for the Junior Pan American Games in Asunción, Paraguay.

Martha Hernández Sánchez, president of the FMC, underscored the importance of the selection event in shaping the federation’s year. “We are starting 2025 with many activities, with many projects. Right now, we have on the doorstep, on February 1 and 2, the first selection of the year for the formation of the team that will represent us in Asunción 2025, which will be the fundamental event of this year,” Hernández told the National Commission of Physical Culture and Sport (CONADE).
