Original 2022 is an amazing gathering of Mexican textile art where more than a thousand artists will show and sell their amazing designs made with ancient techniques. People who go will be amazed by how beautiful the clothes are.
Original is a movement that wants to make people more aware of the value of artisan work and collective property rights. It wants to encourage the development of a new set of rules for how artisans, their communities, and the national and international design industry should treat each other.
Original 2022 Mexican Textile Art
At Original 2022, textile artists from 347 communities and 83 collectives in Mexico will show off their best work and sell one-of-a-kind pieces. There will be big catwalks with a nice range of clothes that represent the country.
Craftswomen and artists from all over the country will show and sell a wide range of textile art and jewelry without the help of middlemen in the exhibition spaces. From 10 am to 8 pm, the public will have the rare chance to see and buy these pieces.
Original 2022 will have a place for people to work together on projects. Craftspeople, national and international brands, and civil society groups will be able to meet there to come up with ideas and work on projects together.

When and where will Original 2022 be held?
The incredible second edition of the event, Original, will take place from November 17 to 20 at Complejo Cultural Los Pinos, located at Calzada del Rey S/N, Bosque de Chapultepec I Sección, Alcaldía Miguel Hidalgo, Mexico City.
Original 2022, aims to place Mexican creative communities on an equal footing, based on ethics and respect for their knowledge. It will be a great event dedicated to textile artisans from all over the country that will amaze all those who attend.
