Undoubtedly one of the best areas to vacation in is the Mexican Caribbean. There you will find beaches, fun, and culture. The recommendation is to get to Cancun and from there you can move to other places such as Playa del Carmen, Isla Mujeres, Cozumel and Tulum. One hour from Cancun, for example, you can visit Xcaret, an ecological park where you will find a wide variety of activities that will allow you to discover the Mayan world. In Tulum, a city further south, you can admire the only Mexican archaeological site built on the seashore. It is an awesome and magical place.
In this same area, you will find one of the best beaches not only in Mexico but in the world, it is called Playa Maroma and it is undoubtedly a paradisiacal place that will surprise you with its crystal clear waters and its underwater world. Do not forget to visit it. To move from one place to another you can rent a car, which will make your trip more comfortable but above all, it will allow you to get away from the area and visit very beautiful cities like Mérida, in the state of Yucatán.
Of course, before leaving the country I advise you to travel to Mexico City, as it has many interesting sites that will undoubtedly help you better understand what this country was and is. As for gastronomy, in Mexico, you will discover a varied cuisine, delicious and full of surprises. Do not stop enjoying it! Oh, but be careful with the strong flavors and sauces! As with tequila! Finally, I think it is important that you take certain precautions because Mexico is a country with serious problems of insecurity.
