Swell alert maintained on Puerto Vallarta beaches
In Puerto Vallarta flags (green, yellow, and red) have been placed so that tourists are aware of the sea conditions. Civil Protection Jalisco personnel are keeping watch at points such as El Malecon, Playa de los Muertos, Las Glorias and Camarones.
The commander of the South Coast region of Civil Protection Jalisco, Aarón González Gallardo, asked tourists visiting the beaches of Puerto Vallarta to be alert for the flags that are placed due to the high swell presented in the last few days in the tourist site.
"There are different types of flags that relate to the conditions of the sea's behavior. The green flag means that bathers can enter the sea without any problem; the yellow flag serves as a precaution because some currents may occur, and finally the red flag asks us not to enter the water because there is an imminent risk for people."
Yellow flags have been placed on the beaches of Puerto Vallarta so that tourists are aware of the sea conditions. In addition, Civil Protection Jalisco personnel are keeping watch at points such as El Malecon, Playa de los Muertos, Las Glorias, and Camarones.
