Wheatgrass, also called wheat sprouts (because wheat sprouts have the appearance of grass) is grown in greenhouses with organic soil and drinking water. Today it is becoming more and more important, as its advantages in combating various diseases have been rediscovered. Wheatgrass is a very nutritious and gluten-free food. Sprouted wheat is the source of 90 different minerals (such as magnesium, calcium, potassium, sulfur, fluorine, silicon, zinc, manganese) and is rich in vitamins B, C, and E. It is also a formidable source of beta-carotene. It can provide a large number of enzymes, antioxidants, and up to 70% chlorophyll.

Researchers and scientists are once again studying wheatgrass and the healing effects of chlorophyll. First, Hans Fischer conducted studies on chlorophyll and won the Nobel Prize in 1930. Later, Ann Wigmore, using this knowledge to study wheatgrass, achieved extraordinary cures. She founded the Hippocrates Health Institute where one can learn a new lifestyle based on Wheatgrass juice. Later, she applied the knowledge of Otto Warburg, another Nobel Prize winner (for his studies on the relationship between cancer and oxygen) knowing that chlorophyll had large amounts of oxygen. Thus, they discovered that cancer multiplies in the absence of oxygen. Finally, Dr. Birscher, (scientist and researcher), discovered that chlorophyll increases the function of the heart, benefiting the vascular system, the uterus, the intestine, and the lungs.

First, in "The American Journal of Surgery" published in 1940, scientist Benjamin Cruskin recommended chlorophyll for its antiseptic benefits. He proposed chlorophyll for clinical uses such as eliminating bad odors, neutralizing streptococcal infections, healing wounds, accelerating skin grafts, curing chronic sinusitis, ear inflammation and suppuration, reducing varicose veins, healing leg ulcers, healing sores of the rectum, treatment to eliminate inflammation of the cervix, parasitic vaginal infections and reducing typhoid fever. There is concrete evidence of its efficacy in curing diseases. For example, Dr. Ann Wigmore has been helping people with chronic disorders for 30 years.

The juice is an easily digestible food supplement and helps to treat diseases. For example, it cleanses the blood, neutralizes toxins, reduces the aging process, and prevents cancer. Sprouted wheat has many more nutritional properties than when consumed in traditional form (grain or cereal). Indeed, germination greatly increases the nutrients in wheat, such as vitamins B, E, and fatty acids. Moreover, the vitamin increases up to 500 times, and the number of phosphorus increases from 420 mg (per 100 grams of grain) to 1050 mg, the amount of magnesium from 130 mg to 330 mg, and the amount of calcium from 15 mg to 70 mg.

Wheatgrass, auxiliary in the treatment of anemia, nutrition problems, intestinal problems, purify the blood, allergies, purify the body in general, rejuvenate, hair and skin, cancer, diabetes, asthma, obesity, and vision problems.

How to use wheatgrass? The doses suggested by scientists are from 3g to 6g per day. However, for medical treatment, therapeutic doses can be increased from 6g to 12g per day. In cooking, wheat sprouts are an inexpensive food that can be used in salads and to complement stews. Wheatgrass can also be added to meatballs, croquettes, and soups.
