Details of the traditional Playa del Carmen Fair
The traditional Playa del Carmen Fair will be held from July 9 to 17. Locals and tourists will be able to enjoy gastronomic samples and local products.
The traditional Playa del Carmen Fair will be held from July 9 to 17 and will be one of the most outstanding activities of this summer in the municipality, informed municipal president Lili Campos.
During the Playa del Carmen 2022 Fair, in honor of the Virgen del Carmen, Solidarense families and tourists will enjoy gastronomic samples, learn about local products and be able to purchase handicrafts, among other activities.
Lili Campos highlighted the participation of artisans with the "Hecho en Playa" brand, as well as the entrepreneurial women of the "Woman to woman" program, who will take advantage of the event to promote their products.
"It will be a space where our products and our traditional delicacies can be made known and where families can coexist," said the municipal president.
She added that on July 9 there will be a horseback ride in the Campo Campesino starting at 10 am, where food, drinks, crafts, raffles, and many more surprises will be offered, in addition to the sport fishing tournament "Nuestra Señora del Carmen", to be held on July 17, starting at Fundadores Park at 7 am, among other activities.
Motocross race in Playa del Carmen
As part of the actions to reactivate tourist activities, the Grand Motocross Race was announced to be held as part of the Feria del Carmen, with free admission for the population. It will take place on July 9 and 10 at the José Quian Cham track, where competitors from other states of the Republic and also from Guatemala are expected to arrive.
This event can be attended by all kinds of tourists, both locals, and tourists who come specifically to enjoy this event. The place where this event will be held is on the track located on CTM Avenue and Federal Highway, in the area of the ejido lands near Plaza las Americas, a place where for more than 20 years several generations have carried out this activity.
The Feria del Carmen event is Playa del Carmen's main patron saint festival, as part of the celebration of the Virgen del Carmen, on July 16.
