There are more than 4 million abandoned houses in Mexico.
Hundreds of Mexicans and perhaps you, are looking to leave their parents' house to start practicing this concept called "independence", however, it becomes complicated because there are not too many real estates available for or take out a loan or, failing that, to rent. However, the data revealed by the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu), indicated that between 4 and 5 million houses are abandoned in Mexico, and many of them are due to causes that Mexicans live every day: violence and crime.
According to Román Meyer Falcón, head of Sedatu, after a month of taking over the reins of this unit, they began an analysis of the state in which the secretariat was received and right now they are in the restructuring of a program to determine by What is it that so many houses are abandoned? The research shows that both migration and organized crime and violence are causes for which the inhabitants of these houses prefer to abandon them.
In the states where there is more violence by organized crime such as Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Baja California, and Chihuahua. So far, according to the words of Meyer Falcón, 4 million abandoned or disused homes have been counted at the national level. The idea is to work as soon as possible so that these homes are not empty, however, Meyer explained that the state in which the secretariat was received is a priority issue because, so far, they do not even have internet and much except with a telephone, a sign of how the administration of Rosario Robles Berlanga had been operating.
