US serial rapist caught in Playa del Carmen
Elements of the Federal Police, located and detained a suspected serial rapist at an address of the Colonia Gonzalo Guerrero of Playa del Carmen.
The rapist used a false identity which prevented him from being located and detained. Now he will be transferred to Mexico City to be delivered to the authorities of the United States.
Elements of the Federal Police, located and detained a suspected serial rapist at an address of the Colonia Gonzalo Guerrero of Playa del Carmen, who is wanted by authorities in the United States for committing at least 14 violations, including a minor.
The alleged rapist is identified with the name of Darius Bunyad, who was apprehended in Santa Rosa, California for the rape of 14 women, and later, the Federal Court of the United States, found him guilty, but the subject managed to flee the country.
After that, US and Mexican authorities worked in a coordinated manner for their search and detention, for which they managed to detain him in an address on 26th Street north of the Gonzalo Guerrero neighborhood.
According to the US court, the now detainee used the alias of Daryoush Mohammad Bunyad or Dan Bunyad, from Afghanistan or Iran. In the United States, he worked as a chiropractor.
Darius Bunyad remained at the disposal of the agent of the Federal Public Ministry of the delegation of the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic, to be transferred to Mexico City, where he would be handed over to the authorities of the United States.
