Mexico City

The capital of Mexico, Mexico City, is located at a high elevation and is home to a large population. The city is famous for its historic murals by Diego Rivera housed in the Palacio Nacional and the baroque Catedral Metropolitana de México, built by the Spanish conquistadors in the 16th century. The Plaza de la Constitución, also called the Zócalo, is the city's large central plaza where you'll find all of these.
